Space! May well be the final frontier! In space is energy. In our body the joints are the spaces that hold and move energy, fluids and nutrients.
Ayruvedic Yoga teaches us that the joints are the pathways for the ether element, also known as space, the unseen yet profoundly felt energy absolutely critical to range of motion, lubrication of bones, muscles, and tissues. With more circulation and more strength of the stabilizing muscles you can grow more mobility.
In this workshop we will identify and gently empower the muscles specific to building more ability to bend and stretch.

Learning to move your body to the maximum ability you have right now is the essence of yoga. In class I help you maximize this ability with individual attention, slow steady steps to help you breathe better and move easier. You can take steps to alleviate both mental stress and physical limitations.
Each class is designed to reach you where you are. First and foremost is to get your circulation going and move energy throughout your body - you have to get moving to keep your body engine running. Just as you ’tune up’ your vehicle, your body is your vehicle for life and must get regular ’tune ups.’
If you have 50% ability to move, you can make 100% of that 50%! If you can walk and breathe you can do EmPowerFlow Yoga!

The Law of Relationships is key to understanding the whole body, the energy principles, the physical responses in the body, and the emotional force that powerfully drives the body.
This outline of our workshops is a fantastic beginning to our exploration of these elements in the Light of Yoga, and the sincere endeavor to help you get the absolute benefits of your practice. And this is why yoga has endured for 5000 years.
Based on the depth of the 5 Universal Elements, integral to understanding the energy model of EmPowerFlow Yoga, each workshop focuses on one of the 5 elements and primary systems.
1. Earth/Polishing the Spine/Core - January 2022

4. Water 2 - Deepening the Dive - February 2023

1. Polishing the Spine is Core to the very foundation of our physical body, our bones and entire skeletal structure.
2. Immune System requires consistent diligence. The Lymphatics require constant motion. You can and you do have a huge impact of the state of your health.

3 & 4. Water 1 & 2 - Sacred Water, as the sages of old say, spans from being the most subtle and refined to the most dense expression of emotions, attitudes, prejudices, projections, neutrality, compassion and, ultimately, liberation.
Practices will focus on the pelvis, the emotional seat of the body.
Our intention is to help you understand how and why EmPowerFlow Yoga and Polarity exercises awaken the energies stored in the pelvis, stimulate creativity, energize the whole body and as Dr. Stone states, “Helps us find a foundation of deep rest.”

EmPowerFlow Yoga is based on the asanas/poses of Hatha Yoga and the energy principles of Polarity Therapy. Asanas vitalize both the physical and subtle anatomy of the human body. Polarity therapy, based on the Ayurvedic and yogic model of energy relationships, outlines three forces of energy called the Gunas, i.e, the qualities of energy allowing all of creation.
This weekend of Integration will weave together the energies of Rajas, Tamas, and Sattva, i.e., 3 foundational components to the Wireless Anatomy as given by Dr. Randolph Stone. We will take a step back to explore again each of the gunas unique qualities and how we understand them now.
This exploration becomes incredibly beneficial by seeing into all that we have had to process in a profoundly chaotic life atmosphere. Watching and standing by our families, friends, students, clients, and all beings…..none of whom are exempt from the chaos, upset and confusion.
What is the worth of our work if not to utilize with as much skill and compassion towards everyone and everything, everywhere?
The mystery of yoga, 1000’s of years old, is the profound truth that knows no time, only knows your spine! The vertebrae must be decompressed routinely, the heart must know love, the mind must direct and allow energy to flow. Energy therapies are the leading edge because they get to the core.
Teaching yoga is so incredible because we empower others to grow and direct their own energy for health building and spiritual unfoldment. By the way, this is the hardest job you will ever have.
Included in our weekend:
1. Deep dive into the qualities of the elements ether, air, fire, water & air in relation to the Gunas
2. Application of these energies to poses/asanas
3. Accessing these energies through meditation on the chakras
4. Applying the lines of force to assist release of the spine, back, hips, shoulders, neck and knees.

We are in such a deep, transformative time. When we choose to listen in, there are such intense stirrings; some difficult to navigate. Yoga promotes awareness of this process. From the classes I've been teaching over these last many pandemic weeks,
I have begun to see participants moving more into stillness. Something is truly transpiring beyond all that appears.
EmPowerFlow is the process of slowing down enough to listen in, stretch and power up. Teaching yoga has often been said to be the hardest job you'll ever have. Well, I must say that has a ring because we must keep up with Thy Self so that Thy Self can keep up with every student. What an incredible win/win.

This retreat will provide tools to help you assist your clients more fully connect with their body as their internal guidance system through Intuitive Yoga.

This retreat will take participants on an inner journey of the energy pathways through Dr. Stone’s easy stretches, yoga poses, and mindfulness of movement. The primary intention is to ground and open the pathways within the body; to feel the qualities of the pathways and ease the energy through the tight, injured and painful spaces within.
The aging process alone can be especially challenging, and when complicated with inflammation and stiffness; we can help others profoundly enhance core vitality with focus and movement.
I am working deeply with clients in yoga class, in the gym with weights, and those limited to chair exercise to help them discover where they have strength and range of motion where they simply have not been aware. Pain has become more of a path of complacent suffering. Yet there is still a spark that just maybe they can feel better, get around better. My oldest client at 97 years old, has been so overwhelmed by sciatic pain, that he did not know how much strength was in his arms that is now assisting him to move, get up, and feel better about himself.
Another client, 65 years old, after working for a year with a weight trainer, has locked her shoulders and the back muscles. The upper back has formed with minimal flexibility.
Working consistently with Dr. Stone’s cliff hangers and spinal releases, and other practices, we are beginning to see an increased range of motion. The greatest challenge is training her mind to be more receptive of the subtle movement and power of breath and energy.
The energy principles of polarity, after 35+ years, have become more alive and applicable then maybe ever! Understanding and working with the core breath and core muscles to stabilize and protect the skeleton and nerve pathways is simple and simply overlooked. Profound shifts happen in the consciousness of the body which then brings clarity to the mind…often quite startling.
