This intensive workshop will take participants on an inner
journey of the energy pathways as taught in Ayurvedic medicine and interpreted by Dr. Stone, creator of Polarity Therapy.
Both Ayurvedic medicine and Polarity Therapy give us a basic model
of the 5 Elements, i.e., earth, water, fire, air and ether.
Class will begin with an outline of this model.
Then we will move into easy stretches and yoga poses with more awareness of the energy flow.
The primary intention is to ground and open the pathways within the body; to feel the qualities of the pathways and ease the energy through the tight, injured and painful spaces within.
With 35+ years of the study and practice of Polarity Therapy and Hatha Yoga, EmPowerFlow Yoga has emerged as the interfacing of poses with our innate energy system. We will engage in the EmPowerFlow process with practices of the core breath and core muscles to stabilize and protect both the skeleton and nerve pathways. Profound shifts happen in the consciousness of the body which then brings shifts to the higher mind….and the natural, intuitive flow.
These tools will help you assist your students to connect with their body and their internal guidance system. What an amazing gift you have as instructors to help others build the best of themselves…..self-confidence, inner safety and peaceful heart. This course is a requirement for the Etowah Valley Yoga 300 hour teacher training program and is approved by the Yoga Alliance for 14 continuing education hours.
Yoga students, practitioners, seekers……we welcome you with all our heart to take this next step.

When upset and pain are reached, when the body and the heart have been heard, the energy opens and flows. The experience is consistently amazing.

"My Empower Workshop experience was very different from what I thought it would be.
By dissecting a pose, slowly and deliberately getting into it allows you to become aware of the muscles that you use,
make adjustments necessary to improve your position, isolate the appropriate muscles and gain a whole new level of
body awareness. Then, by holding the pose, your physical comfort improves and allows you to grow the pose far
beyond what can be accomplished in a regular yoga class. In addition to all this, when you release the pose you have
a greater cognitive and physical reaction to what the pose accomplished. You come away from this workshop feeling physically fabulous, mentally relaxed, with a greater understanding of your body and a jump start on growing
your regular yoga class experience." Susan H, Atlanta
